In 2025 our team installed 125 sqft of PDLC switchable smart glass film across three sliding conference-room doors in a commercial Gardena office. The Problem
The office runs three adjacent conference rooms separated by glass sliding doors. When meetings ran in parallel, sightlines between rooms created a privacy problem — clients in one room could see into the next, and whiteboards stayed visible across the floor. Curtains and blinds would have looked out of place against the finished commercial build-out and added daily dust and cleaning load the facilities team didn’t want.

The Solution
We applied PDLC switchable smart glass film to the existing glazing on each of the three sliding panels. The KNR Sliding Doors track hardware and frames stayed in place; we retrofitted the glass in situ. Each panel was individually measured, cut, and wired through the frame into a shared low-voltage circuit, so the three doors can be switched together with one press or operated individually from the handheld remote.
