In 2024, we installed **smart glass conference rooms Beverly Hills** for an escrow firm whose two glass-walled conference rooms needed on-demand privacy without losing the open, light-filled feel of the office., light-filled design of their office. We retrofitted ~100 sqft of switchable PDLC smart glass film onto the existing glass partition walls and wired each room to a single wall switch, so a team member can frost the walls the instant a confidential client meeting begins.
The Challenge
Escrow work runs on discretion: sensitive documents, wire transfers, confidential client conversations. But the firm’s modern conference rooms were floor-to-ceiling glass, beautiful for the space, a problem for the workflow. The partners wanted three things from any privacy solution:
- On-demand privacy for confidential client meetings and document review
- Zero construction disruption, no tearing out existing glass partitions
- A control system simple enough that any staff member can operate it without training
The Solution
Smart View handled the full scope in-house. We surveyed the site, fabricated the film at our Canoga Park facility, applied it to the existing glass in a dust-free install, wired low-voltage control into a single wall switch per room, and tested both systems. The film transitions from frosted to crystal-clear the instant power is applied, so the rooms look identical to before when transparent, and become fully private at the flip of a switch.
